A-1 Auto Tech is a member of over 10 years good standing with the CSAA Approved Auto Repair Association. CSAA is well recognized for their efforts in keeping high standards for Auto Professionals. Our shop is inspected monthly by a CSAA Representative and we are made accountable for any indiscretions that a AAA Member may have. CSAA guarantees our work for their members for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
A1 Auto Tech participates in the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program. This programs is only for shops that maintains 75% of their service professionals in the ASE certification program. The programs also stipulates that you must have a certificate in each of the services that you offer, including Service Writer....Which we do!!!!
A-1 Auto Tech also requires it technicians to be certified in the ASE Certification Program. This program insures that you as a consumer
are getting repairs done by a competent technician who have proven their technical skills. Technicians are tested by ASE on a multitude of subjects. ASE requires technicians to re-test every five years to keep up with technology and to remain certified.
A-1 Auto Tech is a Quality Installer of AC Delco Parts. We only use the
best parts when repairing your Automobile or SUV.
A-1 Auto Tech is a licensed Smog & Repair Station through the State of
California. Our Facility has invested in top of the line Smog machinery
(ESP Dyno Smog Machine). This enables us to smog vehicles in the enhanced areas.
This became a
requirement in June 2003. Please see the picture
of our new smog equipment.

Auto Tech is very proud of our Gold Shield Station Status that we achieved in
October 2004. Please read the requirements below or visit the
Gold Shield Website for the entire criteria.
The Gold Shield Program helps consumers locate higher
performing Smog Check stations that can repair, retest, and certify Gross
Polluters. Having a Gold Shield station repair and certify a vehicle means that
the owner does not have to return to a Test-Only station for the certification
after it has been repaired.
Gold Shield Eligibility Criteria:
A Gold Shield station must have no disciplinary actions against its Automotive
Repair Dealer Registration (ARD), Smog Check station license or the licenses of
its technicians or managers.
A Gold Shield Station must meet strict testing and repair performance standards
each calendar quarter; and
submit to periodic performance inspections and monitoring.
A-1 Auto Tech has been certified by the State of California as an Official Brake & Lamp inspection site. What this means is if you have the unfortunate circumstances to have your vehicle totaled by the insurance company and your vehicle is still in working order, and you want to keep it, then the State of California requires your vehicle to be inspected to insure your brakes and your lights are all in working order.
A-1 Auto Tech is a Member of ASC (Automotive Service Council). ASC is a Association to provide business resources for their members and to advance the professionalism of the automotive repair industry. ASC educates the Automotive Industry so to maintain high quality standards. (Frank Edelman (the President of A-1 Auto Tech) attends monthly meetings which range in topics from education of our Technicians to industry standards that need to be met to keep the integrity of the Automotive Industry.
A-1 Auto Tech uses Alldata to enable us to know everything we need to know about your Automobile, Truck or SUV. Alldata is networked throughout our entire shop. This priceless piece of software enables us to see schematics, maintenance intervals, labor times, Technical Service Bulletins, recalls, and anything needed to maintain your vehicle properly. All Staff as well as Technicians have taken the Alldata Certification test and have achieved the status of Alldata Certified Shop. We receive quarterly updates into our system so information is current and we are able to keep up with the ever changing world of Automotive Diagnostics.
